What are custom flags?
Anything printed with your own graphics, text, logos, etc is considered a “custom flag.” Our flags are made from durable polyester material that is made to use outdoor under standard weather conditions, including rain. We use high quality Germain ink that is fights fading, making your flags last much longer. You can pick several finishing options for custom flags, such as grommets and sleeves, which allows you to secure the flag to almost any location. This versatility makes it great to use at multiple locations, such as flag poles, windows, fences, walls, and etc. You can mount them to walls easily with nails, thumb-tacks, or wall-mount hooks. These custom flags are rectangle in shape and come in a few varying sizes. These are often used for residential purposes, such as bedrooms and livings rooms or for smaller display purposes for commercial locations. These are also popular for churches to use for their setting.How do they differ from feather, rectangle, teardrop, or flag banners?
Feather flags, teardrop flag, rectangle flags, and our other flag banners are specialty advertising or business flags that have a distinct shape and use pole pockets on the flag to go onto our flag poles. Our pole kits come either as full aluminum telescopic pieces, or with a flexible fiber-glass tip which bends to the shape of the flag banner. These types of advertising flags do not come with grommets, so they do require a custom fitted pole kit and a mount to display them indoor or outdoors. Sizes typically range from 8ft to 17ft in height. We can custom craft hardware and flags to larger sizes, if needed. Primary use for these flag banners is for business and event promotions. Trade shows are also a popular location.Is a flag pole included with my purchase of a custom flag?
Flagpoles are not included by default for custom flags but you can add them to your order from the upgrade options. We have telescopic poles available for all of our custom flags.What is the difference between polyester and nylon flags?
Nylon material is a thinner softer material that is often used for only solid colors, embroider, or other simply designs. Polyester material on the other had is a tightly meshed material that allows for printing of all types of graphics and high quality polyester is heaver and more durable than Nylon. Nylon flags are made for short term (seasonal) use. They tend to fade and rip much quicker than polyester flags, since they are not as wind resistant. This makes a polyester flag a much better option for outdoor use.Do you offer flag kits?
Yes, you can upgrade your order to include flag poles and mounts of your choice. Do you offer flagpole mounts? Yes, mounts can be purchased from the 3×5 flag’s hardware page or from the drop down options on the product page. Will sun exposure fade the flag? Our custom flags and flag banners are meant to be used outdoors, so avoiding the sun is usually not an option. If you are planning to use them at a few events a year, fading will not be a concern. For long term outdoor use, the flags will fade over time due to prolonged exposure to direct sunlight. Fading in this case is not avoidable, but we do use high quality ink which does fight fading. While most flags fade within a few months, ours usually last anywhere from 9 to 12 months, IF you are using the flag outdoors every day for that period of time.Can the wind blow away my flag?
This will depend how well your flag is secured to the flagpole that you have purchased. Be sure to always have a clip to tie your flag down to the pole. Most of our custom flags will come with a small 6” rope at the bottom, which can help you tie them down.What is your smallest flag size?
Our smallest flag size would be our window clip-on flags. They are 12” x 14”. Our largest flag would be restricted in height, which is 5′ (including the 2” sleeve). For the width, you can go as large as a 100ft. Our typical largest size is 5’x8 or 8’x5.Can I request an odd shape?

ORDERING CUSTOM STANDARD FLAGS
We offer 2×3, 3×5, 4×6, and 5×8.
Our custom standard flags can be made single or double-sided!
Our personalized flags and flag banners are made of 110gm polyester material, which would be 4oz. This is ideal and the best-tested weight for durability and print quality.
We provide two material options for our standard custom flags: economy and premium. The economy flags boast a softer feel and lack a middle liner, making them ideal for indoor use or lighter applications. We recommend these flags for poles under 10 feet in height. On the other hand, our premium material is heavier and features a vinyl mesh in the middle. These custom-made flags are designed for outdoor use, suitable for conditions such as driving at speeds of up to 30 miles per hour, and are best suited for poles over 10 feet tall.
Our economy double-sided custom flags weigh approximately 1-1.5 lbs, making them easy to fly. However, as previously mentioned, this softer material lacks a liner, making it prone to fraying if used on vehicles or excessively tall poles.
On the other hand, premium double-sided flags weigh around 2.5 lbs or slightly more for the larger sizes. These flags are equipped with a central liner, requiring stronger winds for proper flying.

For images, we recommend using high-resolution files. You can also submit your own art – just make sure to use our templates and refrain from altering them. If you’re uncertain, feel free to share what you have, and our designers will gladly assist you in creating the perfect flag design.
We don’t calculate the cost of custom flags based on individual words, letters, or colors. Our pricing is determined by the specific item you select. For instance, a 2×3 custom-made flag will have a different price than a 3×5. Modifying or adjusting design elements does not impact the overall price.
We currently do not offer hand-stitched or embroidered flags, banners, or other signs.
Our flags have an average lifespan of five or more years in typical use cases. In this instance, typical use means using the custom logo flag for specific shows and events a few times a year. Also, please neatly fold your custom flags and store them at room temperature. Exposing your flags to direct sunlight for extended periods will reduce their lifespan.
Feather Flag Nation designs its flags and banners for outdoor use, when avoiding the sun isn’t an option. However, fading shouldn’t be a major concern if you use the flags a few times per year.
For long-term outdoor use, the flags will fade over time due to prolonged exposure to direct sunlight. Fading will be unavoidable. However, we do use high-quality ink to fight fading. Many custom flags fade within a few months. Our flags usually last anywhere from 9 to 12 months when used outdoors every day.
Typically, yes. We can often finish flags in requested ways. Email us to let Feather Flag Nation know how you want them finished. We’ll do our best to make it happen.
ABOUT HARDWARE
We provide multiple hardware options. The first option is the Economy set, which features an eagle top and lower price point. Because this option’s poles aren’t tangle-free, they’re best for short-term use.
We also offer a Premium set, which features a sphere on top and a sturdier mount for a tangle-free experience.
Both Economy and Premium sets stand at about 6 feet tall. We also offer a 10-foot pole set equipped with a ground spike for added stability. Additionally, all pole and mount options are compatible with grommets.
ABOUT SHIPPING
We ship from our headquarters in Riverside, California. However, if your order contains stock or hardware, we may split the shipment, sending some items from our warehouse in Georgia.
It depends on the size of your order. We ship with either USPS or UPS.
Orders placed before 10 am PST should ship out that same day. Otherwise, we ship later orders on the next business day.
It varies by state, typically taking three to five business days for your order to arrive.
Yes, our company sends tracking numbers 24 hours after your order ships. If you can’t find it, check your spam email folder.
If you need to have your custom flags shipped to a different address, contact us ASAP. Order information should be changeable if the order hasn’t left our facility. If UPS or USPS has the package, we can change the address for an additional fee. We’re unable to update addresses on any packages that are out for delivery. If your custom-made flags are out for delivery, we are unable to make any more changes.
Open your package as soon as your custom logo flags arrive. You have five business days from when you receive our package to let us know if something’s wrong with your order. If there is an issue, please email us at sales@featherflagnation.com with your order number and photos of your custom flag order.
Yes, we do offer rush shipping for our custom logo flags. If that’s what you would like, please email us at sales@featherflagnation.com. Include your shipping address, what you would like, your order quantity, and when you need it. You should hear back the same day if you placed your order on one of our business days.
Rush shipping will incur additional costs. Shipping costs are determined by what you order, the quantity, and how quickly you need the personalized flags done. Email sales@featherflagnation.com for more information!
