This item only works with specific pole kits. Buying the pole kit with this base is highly advised.
The flat base is a solid black steel plate that can be used with some of our poles. The flat base can be used on any flat surface, it basically functions like the cross base!

Hello thank you for contacting FFN! The poles can withstand about 20-25 mph winds. We do also offer premium poles that can withstand a little more.
