Care: Our pole kits are durable and made for outdoor use, but we highly recommend taking them inside during high winds or severe weather to protect your poles from being damaged. The higher wind poles are rated 5 to 10 mph higher (30 to 35) vs the standard poles which are (20 to 25). We were told that our premium poles survived the recent hurricane in Florida. They can stay out during higher wind conditions but they will begin wearing down. Taking them inside during severe weather is highly recommended.
Questions and answers of the customers
A Hello thank you for contacting FFN! I have heard different experiences but I do see more customers like the fiberglass for higher winds. We also offer it in premium for a stronger finishing.
Q What design or construction feature is responsible for the higher wind rating of the high wind option. Does the high wind pole kit include the fiberglass tip?A The premium pole kits have a strong finish for the poles. They are also reinforced at the joints. Premium poles are available in both fiber-glass and full aluminum pole kits. Premium poles rate 5 to 10 MPH higher for the wind rating, compared to standard poles.
A The pole kit will just be the flag pole. It will be a kit that consists of varying poles that can telescope into one large pole. Mounting hardware, such as a ground stake or cross-base, can be added from the drop down options.
