How to Set Up a Feather Flag

Step-by-Step Feather Flag Assembly Instructions
- Unpack Your Feather Flag Kit:
Begin flag installation by unboxing your feather flag kit. Each kit typically includes the flag, a pole set, and the mounting hardware (ground spike, cross base, or other options). Standard size flag kits, like our stock kits, have a 4 piece pole set. There is a pre-curved top piece or a flexible top piece and 3 straight poles of different thicknesses.
- Assemble the Pole Kit:
- Identify the four poles in the flag installation set. These include one pre-curved or flexible top piece and three straight poles of varying thicknesses.
- Align the poles, ensuring the dimples on each pole are positioned on top. The dimples act as locking mechanisms to securely telescope the poles together.
- Starting with the thickest straight pole, connect the pieces in decreasing thickness, finishing with the curved or flexible top piece. Ensure each section clicks into place.
- Attach the Flag to the Pole:
- Once the poles have been locked in place, carefully slide the flag’s sleeve over the curved or flexible portion of the pole.
- Adjust the flag’s position so that it fits snugly along the pole and is free of wrinkles for a clean, professional display.
- Secure the Pole Into the Mounting Hardware:
- Follow these feather flag ground spike instructions. Simply put the pole into the ground spike, cross base, or other mounting hardware.
- Insert the bottom of the assembled pole into the mounting hardware. For ground spikes, firmly place the spike into the ground using a mallet if necessary. Ensure the spike is stable and upright before attaching the flagpole.
