Cross Bases for Feather Flags
Once you’ve decided on your stock feather flag design or customized your own flag, it’s good to choose hardware that can best display your flag at the location of your choosing.
Ground spikes are the most common choice for our kits and are great for soft surfaces like dirt, grass, or sand. But what if you need to display your flag on tile or pavement? Well, today we’re featuring the amazing, wonderful, high quality, and very useful collapsible X-stand!!
Otherwise known as a cross base, the collapsible x-stand the number 1 choice for solid surface use. This high-quality hardware is great to use indoors or outdoors. Use this base for your feather flag at your next trade show and convention booth or during outdoor events. The base comes with 4 pieces: 1 bolt, 1 cylindrical centerpiece, and 2 legs. The X stand folds down/collapses for easy transport and can be set up quickly.
How to Assemble the Cross Stand
How do you assemble the X Stand? The two legs are heavy-duty metal and must be placed on top of each other in the shape of a cross. The cylindrical piece will then need to be placed inside and bolted from the bottom. If you plan to use the base for the long term, the bolt is best tightened using a wrench. But don’t over-tighten if you want to take it apart easily!
It is highly recommended to purchase a weighted donut with your collapsible x stand. A weight donut is a strong water bag that can be filled up to 15lbs. The weight donut is placed on top of the centerpiece and is designed to keep the cross base stable. The cross base with weight donut excels during use outdoors in light winds. In severe weather, it’s best kept inside. The base works with the 4pc full aluminum fiber-glass tip pole kit as well. It’s important to note that the cross base or collapsible x-stand from FeatherFlagNation will only work with FFN poles!
